Free English Reader ただの英語リーダーソフト

The speech recognition system has not been good enough, but text reading system is now becoming pretty good. I found this software: http://www.naturalreaders.com/.

It has a free version.  Even with free version, you can do pretty interesting things. If you are not English speaker and like to train your English skill, you can do with it. I really recommend it. The heart of English skill is that you can hear it!

Vista Speech Recognition ビスタのスピーチ認識システム

Are you aware that Vista includes speech recognition system? It has its tutorial, and it is pretty good. I mean that tutorial is pretty good. After the tutorial, I tried the speech recognition with WordPad. I was very excited but it made me so uncomfortable very quickly. The speech recognition does not recognize my word like in the tutorial. Of course, it understood some words like “new line”, which moves the cursor to the next line, or “thank you” like tutorial. Otherwise, it does not at all and even types things I did not say. I thought it was because my pronunciation was not good. The next day, I asked my son who could speak real English. It happened the same!!! Well, that made me feel better at least.

ビスタのスピーチ認識システムを知ってますか？それには、入門用のトレーニングキットがある。よくできている。そのトレーニングキットはよくできているという意味。そのトレーニングの後、実際にワードパドを使って試してみる。もうちょっと興奮気味であったが、すぐに気分を害した。このシステムトレーニングキットでやったようには、動いてくれなく、私の言ったことをぜんぜん認識してくれない。もちろんすこしの言葉はわかるのだが。例えば、“つぎのライン”とか、“ありがとう”とか。それ以外は、全く理解しないか、全く言ってないことをタイプする有様。これはきっと僕の発音が悪いからだと思い、次に日、本当の英語が喋れる息子に試してもらう。私と同じことが起きる！！！　少なくともちょっとは気分がよくなったかな。

A Thing Happened Recently 最近起きたこと

While I was working at home in an evening night, I got an email from one of my colleague, and he wrote that he needed to attend to matters related to a burgerly at my house. Yeah, it sounds terribly bad. He did not come to the office the next day and came the day after the next day. He was smiling and told us that most of stolen things were back. How lucky he was! He told me the reason so quick was burglars stole his nice sport car, Corvette besides many expensive items. He had no clue how the burglars found the key, but he protected his Corbette with OnStar http://www.onstar.com/us_english/jsp/index.jsp. With this device, the location of the car was easily identified so that the burglars were caught very easily. How did they get into his house? They got into from the French door at the basement. His house is located in a residence area. He is now thinking a house protection like OnStar for the car.

夜、働いていると、同僚の一人からEメールが。それには、彼の家に泥棒が入って、そのことで、会社に来れないとのこと。これは、大変！次の日彼は会社に来なかった。その次の日に来る。彼は笑って、ほとんどの物は、帰ってきたそうだ。なんと幸運なことか！こんなに早く解決した理由は、泥棒が多くのもの以外に彼のスポーツカー、コルベットをを盗んだためだそうだ。彼には、どうやって、泥棒がその鍵を見つけ出したのかは、分からないそうだが、その車はOnStar http://www.onstar.com/us_english/jsp/index.jsp.で守られていたそうだ。このおかげで、車がどこにあるのかすぐに分かり、警察に泥棒が捕まったわけである。どうやって、泥棒が家に入ったか？地下のフレンチドアーからだそうだ。彼の家は、住宅街に位置している。彼は今、真剣に車のOnStarみたいな家のプロテクションを考えている。俺も考えるべきか？
